This year Eid al-Adha is on November 6th. Eid al-Adha is the latter of two Eid festivals celebrated by Muslims. It is also known as the Festival of Sacrifice and is a religious festival celebrated by Muslims at the conclusion of the Hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca). It is celebrated by Muslims worldwide to commemorate the willingness of Abraham (Ibrahim) to sacrifice his son Ishmael as an act of obedience to God, but instead was able to sacrifice a ram (by God’s command). This festival is a happy time for Muslims for special prayers, visits to family and friends, gifts to children and, of course, the sharing of great food. It is also a time for self-reflection and a time to give thanks.
I hope to Allah to forgive all our sins. Kol Aam Wa Antum Be Khair .
