Joint Statement: Rejection of the War on Yemen Call for international protest on Monday, January 25th 2021 Please add your organization below Since 2012, the bombing and siege led by Saudi Arabia on Yemen have killed tens of thousands of Yemenis and devastated the country. The United Nations has described it as the largest humanitarian crisis on Earth. As half of Yemen’s population is on the brink of famine, and the country is witnessing the worst spread of cholera in recent history, and now Yemen is experiencing the worst death rate for the Coronavirus in the world, as it kills 1 out of 4 people infected with the virus. In addition, the reduction and suspension of aid to the country led to more serious hunger among the population Nevertheless, Saudi Arabia is still escalating its war on Yemen and further tightening the blockade The war is possible only because the Western countries (namely the United States and Britain) continue to arm Saudi Arabia and continue to support the military, political and marketing of the war. The Western Power is an effective contributor and holds the power to stop the most dangerous humanitarian crisis in the world. The disaster in Yemen is man-made, caused by war and siege, and it can be ended People and organizations in the United States, Britain, Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Spain and across the world have come together to demand an end to the war in Yemen and in solidarity with the people of Yemen. We demand our governments to do so The cessation of the foreign aggression against Yemen, the cessation of the armament and war support of the Arab Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, the lifting of the blockade on Yemen and the opening of all sea ports, the restoration and expansion of humanitarian aid to the people of Yemen We call on people around the world to protest the war on Monday, Janu 25, just a few days after the inauguration of the United States 2021 and one day before the holding of a future investment initiative called (Davos in the Desert).
