International Human Rights Day-2022

#International_Human_Rights_Day

The United Nations celebrates Human Rights Day annually on December 10, commemorating the day the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948. The declaration consists of a preamble and 30 articles that define a wide range of human rights and fundamental freedoms to which we are all entitled. To be enjoyed wherever we are in the world. The Declaration guarantees our rights without any discrimination based on nationality, place of residence, gender, national or ethnic origin, religion, language or other status. The declaration was drafted by representatives of all regions and legal traditions. Over the years, it has been accepted as a contract between governments and their people. It was accepted by almost all countries. Since then, it has formed the basis of an expanded system aimed at protecting human rights, and today it also focuses on vulnerable groups such as persons with disabilities, indigenous peoples and migrants.
